As a parent cooperative, all parents work in their child's classroom on a regular basis one session a month.  Both parents and children benefit from this unique opportunity.

Grandparents or other family-designated adults may help in place of the parent.

Anyone who helps more than one time a year is considered a regular helper by the State of Kansas.  All regular helpers must pass a KBI screening. They also must have a current TB test on file.

  • Parents are able to see first-hand what happens during a typical preschool day.
  • Parents are able to get to know their child's teacher and classmates.
  • Parents convey to their child that his or her education is important to the entire family.
  • Each child, on his or her helper day, has special responsibilities and privileges which may range from ringing the bell at clean-up time to helping serve the snack that he or she has brought from home.

  • Each child feels very special when it is his or her turn to bring a special adult to school.
